David Lawrence Herve Leger Trunk Show

Somewhat of a quiet weekend. Relaxing and without too many responsibilities.

Friday Night I attended the Herve Leger Trunk Show hosted at David Lawrence at the Bravern in Bellevue, Washington. Trophy Cupcakes were there providing delicious treats. The chocolate cupcake was to die for. But let’s talk dresses!

I was attending the event with my good friend and collegue, Andrea Ward, who I’ve mentioned several times before in the blog. David chose dresses for us both to try on. These are truly amazing dresses. They are tight and sculpted and shape your body into beautiful curves. The designs are recognizable and have a way of fitting a variety of age groups for formal occasions.

Black/Gold Heidi A-Line Bandage Dress with Woven Chain

This is the dress I tried on. I really liked the A-line skirt. On the hanger, you couldn’t really tell that the dress was going to have a little flare at the bottom. It was a very fun dress to try on.

Andrea tried on a long black dress with dark sequins along the top for the upcoming O’Christmas Tree Holiday Gala. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a picture of it on the Herve Leger site. I loved the length, the subtle slits on the sides, and the sequins at the top. I thought that it made her look very elegant and sophisticated while being a little sexy and very beautiful.

Here are a few of my favorites:

There is a chance that there will be pictures and an article or two about the event coming soon. I will add links to the articles as soon as I find out about them being posted. (I might even have a picture or two featured in the articles!) We’ll see if I’m lucky enough.

Here is the Spotlight Seattle Article on the David Lawrence Event (I helped write a little of it!) I have a picture in this article too!

And here is the Komo Bellevue Article on the trunk show.

The event was great because it was somewhat casual while being classy. The atmosphere was comfortable for trying on dresses and walking out into the middle of the room to look in the 3-paneled mirror. Everyone was chatting to each other about different dresses people were trying on. Even the models were complimenting and commenting on what dresses they liked the best and what they liked about them.

I didn’t get any of the dresses, but I wish I could have. Some day!

Until soon,
Maggie B.

ps. I am supposed to hear today about the Elf position!
