Friday Night I attended the Herve Leger Trunk Show hosted at David Lawrence at the Bravern in Bellevue, Washington. Trophy Cupcakes were there providing delicious treats. The chocolate cupcake was to die for. But let's talk dresses!
These past couple months I have been working with Andrea Ward, a well-known stylist from New York City. Having recently relocated to the Greater Seattle Area, Andrea needed some help building her reputation and business in this new community. I was there from the beginning helping her build her presence online through social media as well as through networking at fashion events throughout September. But now it is time to get serious.
IT IS THE HALF YEARLY SALE AT NORDSTROM! Just in case you missed it, it is the half yearly sale at Nordstrom! Women's and children's are on sale right now! We had to make an appearance and see what we could find. I was on the hunt for some new tops for work. It seems that I have accumulated an awful lot of skirts but have a very limited number of tops to choose from. Every morning I would wake up and look in my closet and feel like when I used to play with my Barbie as a child and she never had the right clothes either. Sigh.
How to Social media and Radio connect? Here is my story... Social media is really about connecting with your audience. The key is to build a trusting relationship with people. You want to provide your audience with value. Radio, in a lot of ways, is very similar. It is about conversation, about asking for input and about responding to that input.
This morning I was co-host for "Strut in Signature Style" on the Chat With Women Network, 1150AM. This was the third time that I have been on the show with Andrea Ward but the first time that I have been able to really talk about the effect of blogging and social media on the fashions in the area and across the country.
