TikTok Doesn’t Pose Overt Threat to U.S. National Security, Researchers Say  The University of Toronto cybersecurity group, Citizen Lab, released a report stating that TikTok doesn’t pose a national security threat to the United States.. Citizen Lab, which releases regular reports on censorship and surveillance by Chinese social media apps, found no evidence of  “overtly malicious behavior” after a technical analysis of TikTok.

Clubhouse says its Android launch will take “a couple of months” Social audio app Clubhouse has now promised a time frame for the launch of its anticipated Android version. During Clubhouse’s weekly Town Hall event on Sunday, co-founder Paul Davison, announced that the company has been working “really hard” to release the app to Android devices. However, the launch will take a “couple of months”to happen,  indicating that the release is closer to late spring or summer 2021.

Twitter is exploring the use of Facebook-style emoji reactions  Twitter has been surveying users throughout the month to get input on how they feel about a broader set of emoji-style reactions, just like the ones on Facebook. Twitter’s spokesperson said that they are exploring “additional ways for people to express themselves in conversations happening on Twitter”. Twitter’s survey presents a few different options of emoji reactions, all of which include the heart (like), laughing face with tears (funny), thinking face (interesting), and crying face (sad).

Instagram’s Testing New Quick Reply Stickers to Stories Instagram is currently testing a new Story’s response option that would enable users to select different reaction stickers. The new feature will provide a range of stickers in four different categories: happy, love, funny, and sad. 

Instagram Announces That Stories Drafts are Coming Soon Instagram announced that it will add a new option to save your Instagram Stories as drafts. According to Instagram, Story drafts have been highly requested by users, and the option will provide more flexibility in utilizing Stories. Also, it will be beneficial for brands that are looking to post their updates at the most relevant times for their audience.
